Nothing Left to Add

Today, the wind was blowing almost 50 mph bring the temperature down to -30. Here's the gear I wore to walk to school (reminder: it's maybe two hundred yards at most):

- snow boots
- snow pants
- huge parka
- mittens
- neck warmer
- ear warmer
- hat
- goggles
- work clothes

So that's it. I have nothing else to add if it gets any colder.

  1. You are a freakin riot. You must let me know how you keep the wrinkles out of your work clothes during your commute. I look like I someone kicked me to work by the time I get there.

  2. I'm planning to add long underwear if it gets much colder. You could too.

  3. Low standards of professional dress = no worries about wrinkles. Here's the dress code at the school for teachers: no holes in your clothes, if possible. I found Portland substantially more casual in dress than NYC and Alaska is that much more informal.
